Ravena's tweets cast doubt on his status for Ateneo's season opener
The title defense of the Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles will get off to a shaky start, after star player Kiefer Ravena tweeted out that he will be missing his squad's first assignment against the NU Bulldogs.
Missing my First ever UAAP game tomorrow and its opening day. But excited for the new blue eagles to show what we've got! #ProveThemWrong

Later on though, Ravena tweeted out again that he would in fact play, leaving his actual status up in the air.
Ravena averaged 21.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.4 steals for Ateneo in the FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup, helping his team to a 7-1 record, before the Blue Eagles pulled out, citing injuries.
The Blue Eagles will have to rely on holdovers Juami Tiongson and Ryan Buenafe, along with athletic recruit Chris Newsome. - AMD, GMA News
