Nets nab Livingston, Blazers tab Wright

The Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers and the San Antonio Spurs came to terms with some free agents on Saturday (Sunday, PHL time), Adrian Wojnarwoski of Yahoo Sports reported, bolstering their respective reserves.

The Nets came to terms with point guard Shaun Livingston, who will back up Deron Williams, after agreeing to a one-year deal at the league minimum.

Livingston was a former first round pick by the Los Angeles Clippers, who has since made his return to the league after a gruesome knee injury sidelined him early. Last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he played 49 games and averaged 7.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists.

The Blazers meanwhile beat out the Oklahoma City Thunder to forward Dorell Wright, Wright's agent Greg Lawrence confirmed to Yahoo Sports.

Wright will ink a two-year deal worth $6 million once the moratorium on new deals is lifted on July 10.

The free agent swingman spent last season with the Philadelphia 76ers, posting 9.2 points (37.4 percent from downtown, along with 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists. His heyday came two seasons ago with the Golden State Warriors, when he normed 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals, but he can still be a productive reserve.

The Spurs also snagged free agent big man Jeff Pendergraph, who played the last two season with the Indiana Pacers, according to league sources.

Pendergraph will sign a two-year deal, although the specific finances were not disclosed.

The fourth-year 6'9" forward put up averages of 3.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 37 games with the Pacers last season. - AMD, GMA News
